Shapetrace advances job-site execution using augmented reality software that provides construction teams with the ability to build correctly the first time. Using mobile devices for on-site visualization, 3D scanning, & real-time variance detection, the software is a comprehensive, full-cycle construction application, touching all phases from building through to operations.

Visualize. Plan. Then build right the first time.

Shapetrace was started in January 2014 by Ernest and Julien, two geomatics engineers who met at a robotics conference the year prior. They realized that they lived in the same city and shared a common goal to help people have perfect awareness of their immediate environments. To this day, this drives them to push the boundaries of geomatics, computer vision, & mobile technologies, which led them to augmented/mixed reality.

Shapetrace is located in Toronto, Canada. Their company graduated from the Founder Institute startup accelerator, is part of the B.E.S.T. Lab startup incubator at York University.

Shapetrace has won the following honours and grants: MaRS Up-Start! Competition 2015, Schulich Pitch Competition 2016; Finalist: Digifest It's a Start! Competition 2015, CNE Innovation Garage 2016, Techweek Toronto LAUNCH competition 2016; Grants: OCE SmartStart 2015, OCE TalentEdge 2015, NSERC IUSRA 2016,
